Governor Cuomo gave the latest statistics regarding the Coronavirus this morning, with the number of Positive cases now over 75,000. Cuomo said that they are continuing to plan for the numbers to keep increasing for the next 2 to 4 weeks:

Governor Cuomo said that there are now over 10,900 people hospitalized, with 2710 in ICU beds, there have been over 4900 discharged & the death toll is now up to 1550.

Delaware County Public Health announced that the total of laboratory confirmed positive Coronavirus cases in Delaware County are 14. 2 individuals have now recovered and are no longer in isolation. 6 cases are recovering safely at home, 6 cases are receiving medical care in a hospital.

Broome County Health Department released their latest Coronavirus statistics this morning; they now have 37 positive cases with 3 deaths, with 42 in precautionary quarantine & 141 in mandatory quarantine.

The Otsego County Sheriff’s Office arrested 33 year old Josie Wright of Morris for Petty Larceny, for allegedly stealing medical supplies from Bassett Medical Center.  Wright is accused of stealing face masks and alcohol prep pads, Deputies were alerted by the Bassett Security staff, the investigation is continuing, Wright was issued an appearance ticket for the Town of Otsego Court at a later date.

The Community Foundation for South Central New York announces the opening of the COVID-19 Response Fund with an initial distribution of $80,000 from their own special funds, an appeal to current donors to the Foundation has already raised an additional $43,000.  The Foundations’ COVID-19 Response Fund will support organizations providing essential services in the most rural counties served by the Foundation; Chenango, Delaware, Otsego, and Tioga Counties, Interested donors can contribute online at donorswhocare.org.

The Airport Day Committee at the Eaton Airport in Norwich announced today that, Due to the impact of COVID-19, they have decided to cancel Airport Day for 2020, and are expecting to bring it back again in 2021.

The Binghamton Rumble Ponies have postponed all Home Games before May 10, any ticket purchased for a game before May 10th will be treated as a rain check and will be redeemable for any 2020 Regular Season Home Game, excluding July 4th.
