The Delaware County Board of Supervisors acted on a measure last week regarding the Muddy River Brewing Company in the town of Sidney.  Sidney Town Supervisor Gene Pigford said that the town zoning also has to change in order for Muddy River to continue:

Pigford said that a Final Text Revision will lead to a roundtable discussion by the Sidney Town Planning Board & the Zoning Board of Appeals, then the measure goes back to the County Board, a public hearing will be necessary, then a final vote, Pigford said that he hopes to have all that concluded by the end of this year.

An unknown number of SFCU members in the Walton area have been affected by an ATM skimming attack.  SFCU Vice President of Marketing Keith May told WCDO News how they are tackling the situation this afternoon:

May said that the Walton branch opened Sunday to assist with members concerns, he stressed that this was NOT a breach, but is an isolated ATM skimming attack in the Walton area, and that law enforcement is investigating.

A woman reported missing from Smyrna, has been located in Iowa.  Amber Garrison told Police that she was kidnapped at a truck stop in Pennsylvania in July, and was taken through several states.  James Smith of Mexico New York has been charged with kidnapping, assault & obstruction of emergency communication, Garrison was treated for injuries at an Iowa hospital, the investigation is continuing.

Tioga County Sheriff’s Department responded Friday at about 12:15 PM, to a report of an armed robbery at Community Bank in Nichols. A male subject entered the Bank and displayed a pistol while demanding money, the Sheriff’s Office has arrested 31 year old Adam Robinson of Nichols, for 1st degree Robbery, Criminal use of a firearm and 4th degree Grand Larceny.  Robinson was arraigned and was remanded to the Tioga County Jail on $100,000 cash bail or $200,000 bond pending court action Wednesday.  The investigation is ongoing.

The Oneonta School District’s 1st day of classes has been postponed until next Monday September 9th.  The delay was due to ongoing construction, more details are available at oneontacsd.org.

Governor Cuomo announced that the Great New York State Fair has broken the total attendance record for the 4th year in a row while setting several single-day attendance records during its 13-day run. Last year’s record-breaking attendance of 1,279,010 was broken Monday at 11:30 a.m. The Governor also announced the 2018 New York State tourism figures established new records for total number of visitors, economic impact and direct spending.

Chenango County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested 50 year old Joseph Ali of Burlington Flats for DWI, after an investigation into a check the welfare complaint was received in the Town of Norwich.   Ali was arraigned in Norwich Town Court and is to reappear on September 19, 2019 at 2:00pm.

A Town of New Berlin resident was arrested by the Chenango County Sheriff’s Office for 3 counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child and Harassment.  Deputies arrested 35 year old Renee Zbdydniewski of New Berlin resident after a Domestic Dispute in the Town of Guilford.  She is accused of assaulting a Juvenile while her 2 children were present, she was arraigned in the Town of Oxford court and released on her own recognize & will appear in Town of Guilford court on a later date.
