Governor Cuomo announced that the federal vaccine supply will increase another 20% from the federal government over the next 3 weeks. Private Pharmacies Will Receive an Additional 10% Directly from the Federal Government to Supplement the Doses Allocated to Them by the State. The State’s Vaccine Dashboard Will Update Daily to Provide Updates at ny.gov/vaccinetracker.

Chenango County Public Health released their latest COVID-19 Numbers today; they had 14 positives cases, bringing their total to 2133. They report 23 hospitalized, 137 active cases & 402 quarantined, they have had 1914 recoveries & have conducted over 70,000 tests.

The State Department of Labor has identified over 425,000 fraudulent unemployment benefit claims during the COVID-19 pandemic, preventing the theft $5.5 billion. The Department has referred thousands of fraud cases to federal prosecutors, and continues to investigate with law enforcement on the federal, state, and local level. Since the pandemic began, the Department of Labor has paid over $65 billion to more than 4 million New Yorkers – representing more than 30 typical years’ worth of benefits paid in just 11 months.

Small businesses that received assistance last year due to shutdowns from the pandemic, may be able to get more funding this year, Delaware County Chamber of Commerce President Ray Pucci told WCDO News what he has learned from the Small Business Administration:

Otsego County Department of Health has been tasked with vaccinating the 1b eligible workers, Employers in Otsego County or individuals who meet the eligibility can email their contact information to Otsego County Department of Health at COVIDvaccine@otsegocounty.com. When clinics are scheduled they will receive an email notification to register for the vaccine. People over the age of 65 can call their health care provider or local pharmacies for information on vaccine availability. Anyone 65+ who received their 1st dose of vaccine with the County Health Department will be notified to schedule their 2nd dose.

Delaware County Public Health announced a 36th has person died of Covid-19 related complications. The County reported no new cases today after 133 tests; they are down to 86 active cases 19 hospitalizations & 264 in quarantine.

After receiving funds from Barstool Sports.com to keep his business afloat after COVID 19, Eric Nelson of Interskate 88 in Oneonta has decided to pay it forward with a free night of skating tonight, with a request to donate to help others get funding:
