All area School Budgets passed by decent margins yesterday in the Tri County region.  Voters in the Unatego District approved of their $27.6 million capital project Tuesday, Unatego Superintendent Dr. Dave Richards comments:

The Unatego Building Project passed by a vote of 264 in favor & 85 opposed.

Jericho Arts Council Gallery and Bainbridge Chamber of Commerce present Regatta Row 2021, featured this year are the Classic Canoe Paddle Chairs & art will be displayed along North & West Main Streets in downtown Bainbridge today through the weekend of June 26 & 27.  Event Organizer Rachel Hares comments:

Hartwick College will require all students and employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 prior to the start of the Fall 2021 semester. The deadline to vaccinate is August 1st , it applies to all who will live, study, or work on campus.  Nearly 400 colleges and universities across the country have announced their plans to require vaccinations of students before fall semester begins. Hartwick is among those that will also require it of faculty and staff.

This year’s Bainbridge Memorial Day Parade will take place on Monday, May 31st @ 10:30 am.  Parade organizers said that anyone is welcome to participate, participants will be lining up on Pruyn Street near Payne’s Cranes, before 10:00 am.   Volunteers are needed; more information is available at 287-3170 or by email to rogerbarnhart50@gmail.com.

The State Health Department released updated guidance for health and safety measures at child care, day camp, and overnight camp programs.  Facilities and programs must collect COVID-19 vaccination status and documentation for all staff and children. They will need to implement daily health screening practices of their staff and visitors including daily temperature checks; they will need to notify the state and local health departments immediately of any positive COVID-19 test result by a member of the staff or a child.  Children and campers will be required to wear a mask if they are not fully vaccinated. They will not need to wear a mask when eating, drinking, showering, swimming, sleeping, or resting.  More information is available at forward.ny.gov.

The Chenango County Health Department is hosting a Free Johnson & Johnson 1 shot Vaccine Clinic In West Park in Norwich today From 1:00 to 2:30 pm.  No appointment is needed; the Clinic is first come first serve, with 40 doses available. More information is available at 337-1660.

Starting today, New York State will adopt the CDC’s “Interim Public Health Recommendations for Fully Vaccinated People” for most business and public settings. Pre-K to 12 schools, public transit, homeless shelters, correctional facilities, nursing homes, and healthcare settings will continue to follow State’s existing guidelines until more New Yorkers are fully vaccinated, more information is available at forward.ny.gov.
