State Police investigated a fatal motorcycle accident on Ouaquaga Road in the Town of Colesville. 43 year old Shawn Farr of Colesville was operating a 1996 Honda motorcycle in foggy conditions and failed to negotiate a left curve in the roadway, the motorcycle went off the road & struck two trees,  Farr was ejected from the motorcycle and was pronounced dead at the scene. The investigation is continuing.


The Otsego County Planning Department, & several other county agencies have teamed up to sponsor a workshop tomorrow at the Hanford Mills Museum, in East Meredith, called “Energy Wise Otsego,” to help homeowners & Small Business owners save dollars with free energy assessments.    Outreach Coordinator at Public Policy and Education Fund of NY Solvei Blue comments:

Tomorrow is the 23rd Annual Ed Wessels Canoe Regatta along the Susquehanna River from Otego to Sidney.  More information is available at sidneychamber.org/wessels.


Congressman CHRIS Gibson will visit Otsego County today.  Gibson will Visit Apple Converting in Oneonta at 8:30 AM, he will tour the facility with state senator Jim Seward.  At around 2:15 this afternoon, the congressman will New York, Susquehanna, and Western Railway Corporation in Cooperstown, he will tour the facility and learn more about their operation.


Motorists are advised that State Route 17 westbound between exit 72 and exit 71 will reduced to one lane today between 9:00 AM & 3:00 PM.  Crews will be removing sheet piles in the vicinity of the future Prospect Street Connector, weather permitting.


The annual Big Wheels Golf Tournament, at the Delhi College Golf Course will take place today.  The event serves as a primary fundraiser for programs and services to Delaware County senior citizens.
