Congressman Chris Gibson will appear in Oneonta this morning, to meet with veterans at 10:00 AM at the Veteran’s club at 279 Chestnut Street.   Congressman Gibson will give an update on veteran’s issues before Congress and take questions.

The Chenango county sheriff’s department arrested 34-year-old Hayes Cutting of Bainbridge on a Parole Warrant & for Resisting Arrest.   Cutting was located in Bainbridge, & after deputies informed Him that he was being placed under arrest for Parole Violation for a previous charge of 2nd degree Assault, he attempted to flee the scene on foot. Cutting was taken into custody a short distance away and charged with Resisting arrest. Cutting was remanded to the Chenango County Correctional Facility without bail and will appear at a later date in court for the additional charge.

The next Delaware county Free Rabies Vaccination Clinic for dogs, cats, and ferrets at will be held today at the Franklin Fire Hall on Main Street.  The clinic will run from 4:00PM to 6:00PM.  More information is available at 832-5200 or delawarecountypublichealth.com.

The Annual Franklin Trek will be making a stop at the Northeast Classic Car Museum today at approximately 1:30pm.  The Trek features over 50 vintage Franklin automobiles, made in nearby Syracuse from 1903-1934, on a one-week driving journey to various Central New York highlights. Trek participants will tour the Northeast Classic Car Museum, which has nearly 30 Franklins.  More information is available at classiccarmuseum.org or at 334-2886.

The Sidney chamber of commerce will hold their next regular meeting today.  The meeting will begin at 7:45 this morning at the Sidney golf & country club, chamber members & directors are encouraged to attend.
