State Police at Oneonta arrested 37-year-old Sara Yerdon of Otego for Resisting Arrest and Driving While Intoxicated with a BAC result of .22%.  The arrest resulted from a traffic stop on State Route 23 in Oneonta,  Yerdon was issued tickets returnable to the Town of Oneonta Court on February 12th.

Governor Cuomo today announced that New York has joined neighboring states in agreeing to lower the emissions cap established under the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative. With today’s announcement, nine Northeastern and Mid-Atlantic States have agreed to set a 91 million ton emissions cap in 2014, declining 2.5 percent a year through 2020. The announcement comes just weeks after Governor Cuomo called for a lowering of the cap in his 2013 State of the State Address.

State Police at Sidney arrested 26 year old Anthony Cordova,  of Binghamton, for Driving While Intoxicated.  The arrest resulted from a motor vehicle accident investigation in the Sidney,  Cordova was issued tickets returnable in the Town of Sidney Court on February 21st.

Delaware County Deputies arrested 19-year-old Zacharia Johnson of Walton, on charges of 3rd degree Menacing, endangering the welfare of a child and 2nd degree harassment.  The arrest followed the report of an alleged domestic dispute in the Town of Hamden.  Johnson was arraigned in the town of Delhi court and was remanded to the Delaware County Correctional facility in lieu of $250.

Dairy foods magazine have named Chobani as the 2012 processor of the year” in their year-end addition.  The company was named due to their market standing as the #1 Greek Yogurt Manufacturer, their expansion in Edmeston and into Idaho, and for their involvement in area communities.  The Award was presented to Hamdi Ulukaya, the president of Chobani at a ceremony late last month.

The Delaware County Sheriffs Office arrested Stephanie White for Driving while intoxicated, having a blood alcohol content above .08 percent, aggravated unlicensed operation, open alcoholic container in motor vehicle and uninspected motor vehicle, & unlawful possession of marihuana.  White was released on an appearance ticket and traffic summons to appear before the Town of Delhi Court on February 19th at 9:00am.

The Bainbridge Guilford Girl Scout Service Unit 365 is holding their annual “Princess Ball” on Saturday February 16th at the Greenlawn elementary school.  The event runs form 2:00 until 4:00 PM, registration or more information is available at 267-2378.
