State Police arrested 39-year-old Leslie Bonham of Marathon with 18 counts of 1st degree unlawfully dealing with a child.  Bonham was charged following a report that she allegedly provided alcohol to under aged teenagers this summer; Bonham was issued appearance tickets to appear in the both the Lisle & Marathon town courts at later dates.

Chenango County Sheriff’s Detectives arrested a Town of Norwich couple for 1 Count each of 3rd degree Welfare Fraud and offering a False Instrument for filing.  55 year old Gregory Huzinec & 52 year old Donna Huzinec are accused of illegally receiving over $13,000 in assistance from the department of social services that they were not entitled to, between 2008 & 2013.  They face court action shortly.

Oneonta Police arrested 19-year-old Harley Falasca of Tarrytown for Driving while intoxicated, leaving the scene of a property damage accident, & 2nd degree criminal trespass.  Police accuse Falasca of crashing his car, and leaving the scene, & for breaking into a home on Glen Drive to sleep.  Falasca later fled into the woods, where police apprehended him, he had a BAC of .18, and was issued tickets returnable to Oneonta town court at a later date.

State Attorney General Eric Schneiderman issued a consumer advisory encouraging New Yorkers to sign up for the federal affordable health insurance now being offered through “New York State of Health,” which is the official marketplace created by Governor Cuomo to purchase health plans made possible by the Federal Affordable Care Act.  To sign up for health insurance, and for any questions, go directly to the official New York website at nystateofhealth.ny.gov or call 1-855-355-5777.

The Chenango county sheriff’s office arrested 40-year-old Dewaine McCrady of Smithville on an active warrant arrest for Unlawful Fleeing an Officer in a Motor Vehicle.  McCrady is accused of not stopping for police on August 9th in the Town of Smithville, he was arraigned and is being held at the Chenango County Jail on $1000 cash bail pending action in the Town of Smithville court on a later date.
