The Sidney Elks Lodge Annual Looking Back Car Show & Chicken Barbecue will return this year, on Saturday behind the Lodge at 104 River Street in Sidney, spokesperson Lori Lang explains:

Lang said that the event will run from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM Saturday, the car show & Barbecue was canceled last year due to the COVID shutdown.

The Rotary Club of Sidney and the Cullman Developmental Center will present “Big Rig Day” tomorrow at the Cullman Center in Sidney, Rotary Spokesman Larry Halbert explains:

The final event of the series for children will be on Sunday August 22nd at Keith Clark Park in Sidney.

The Otsego County fair has changed their Saturday Bicycle Giveaway this year, as the pandemic has made it difficult to acquire them; Otsego County Fair spokesperson Lisa Jones told WCDO News that they changed the giveaway:

Delaware Opportunities has received additional funds for the dairy distributions, they will have 2 additional distributions to the summer/fall schedule onsite in Hamden on September 8th and October 13th. Registration for both will go live one week prior, as always. There is NO dairy distribution in August, just the food distribution on August 24th, Delaware Opportunities will be distributing back to school supplies again this year, There are income eligibility requirements, more information will be released in the coming weeks.


1 of the women that accused Governor Cuomo of Sexual Harassment has filed a criminal complaint with the Albany County Sheriff’s Department. The woman claimed that the Governor reached under her blouse and groped her breast in his office at the Executive Mansion, among other sexual advances. The State Assembly’s Judiciary Committee has given Cuomo’s Legal team’s deadline of August 13th to provide additional evidence in his defense, Cuomo said that he is not planning to resign.
